Eric

Eric Woerner, Co-Founder & President

Eric is Owner Operator and President of The Athletic Club, and brings 24 years of executive management from the hospitality industry. Eric grew early in his management career with Landry's Inc. and was the youngest GM promoted at the age of 25. He went on to become a Landry's Acquisition Ambassador and Senior Training GM from 2009 to 2013. Once he left in 2013 he helped start the popular concept HG Sply Co. located on Greenville Ave. in Dallas TX. He was quickly promoted through the ranks from GM, Director of Finance, and VP of Operations and Strategy as the company grew to 8 restaurants with 5 different concepts that spread throughout the DFW metroplex. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to leave in 2020 and start his own business, Col 3:23 Holdings LLC.  

He and his wife, Jessica, are the proud parents of their son, Max, and reside in Fort Worth, TX.

Fran

Fran Harris, Co-Founder & Director of Sports

Fran Harris is Owner Operator, Sports of The Athletic Club, and the founder of ELECTRA, hydration, a better-for-you electrolyte drink company. She grew up in Dallas, Texas, and started her basketball career at age 15 at Dallas South Oak Cliff, which won the 1980 UIL State Championship. An All-State performer who was inducted into the inaugural class of the Dallas ISD Hall of Fame in 2018, Fran became one of the most decorated athletes in Texas sports history.

At the University of Texas, Fran led the Longhorns to an undefeated (34-0) NCAA Championship in 1986. She earned ALL Southwest Conference honors in 1984, 85 and 86, and was the Player of the Year in 1986. She finished her career at Texas as the fourth leading scorer in program history with 1,798 points. A decade later she played on the WNBA's first championship team with the Houston Comets. After graduation at Texas, Fran started her career at ESPN in the late 90s as a color analyst, and became one of the network's most versatile talents, earning time as a sideline reporter, studio analyst and more recently, play by play announcer.

With more than 30 years experience in sports marketing, sports management and sports media, Fran believes that people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. She steps into a new chapter with The Athletic Club with excitement, optimism, and a spirit of adventure to impact lives.

Deric

Deric Salser, Co-Founder & Director of Development

Deric is an accomplished architectural business professional, experienced in all aspects of architecture, construction, and real estate development. Excelling at assembling talented project teams is his specialty, but his greatest strength is a personalized approach to building client relationships and friendships that last well beyond the completion of their projects.

Previous to founding the Salser Development Group, Deric led the Dallas office of nationally recognized and Cincinnati based CR Architecture + Design. Prior to his tenure with CR, he enjoyed a 19 year career as a partner in his own Dallas based architectural firm, where he designed/ managed projects and guided clients through the processes of development and construction. His practical, client-centric solutions lead to projects being consistently completed in budget and on schedule.

Deric currently serves and has served on the board of directors of several nonprofit organizations, including the chamber of commerce in his hometown, as well as the Sunnyvale ISD Education Foundation.
